What does "Formulate for the most reactive skin first" mean?

This is the founding discipline of Vase Creation, established in 2018 and applied to every preparation we have released since. By engineering every formulation to meet the strict requirements of sensitive, reactive, and eczema-prone skin first, we ensure that our preparations are safe, effective, and genuinely gentle for everyone — regardless of skin history. If a formulation does not pass our internal reactivity standards in the laboratory, it does not leave our facility. No exceptions.


Is Vase Creation a Malaysian brand?

Yes. Vase Creation® was founded in Malaysia in 2018 and is Malaysia's first award-winning clean formulation personal care brand. Our GMP-certified manufacturing facility is located in Perak, Malaysia. Our company is registered as Vase Creation (002882176-K). In 2026, we expanded to establish Vase Creation Australia (ABN 26 461 441 520), our dedicated operating entity in Perth, Western Australia, serving the Australian market with locally dispatched orders.


Who founded Vase Creation?

Vase Creation was founded by three co-founders who each bring a distinct discipline to the brand — and who all have lived experience of sensitive, reactive skin.

  • Charlotte T. — Co-Founder and Lead Chemist. Charlotte leads all formulation work at Vase Creation. A professional chemist with lived experience of sensitive, eczema-prone skin since childhood, she personally develops, tests, and signs off every preparation in the Vase Creation collection.
  • Wendy L. — Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Wendy leads the brand's art and strategic direction, global expansion, and commercial operations. Her background spans consumer science and premium brand development across Southeast Asia and Australia.
  • Lawrence T. — Co-Founder, Business Development. Lawrence leads commercial partnerships, retail strategy, and the brand's pr. What makes Vase Creation a "chemist-led" brand?

Unlike brands that outsource formulation to contract manufacturers working from trend briefs, Vase Creation maintains absolute vertical integration. Every preparation is developed in-house by our Lead Chemist, Charlotte T., from the initial molecular concept to the final batch production. Every ingredient has a scientific purpose. Every concentration is set for a formulation reason. Every batch undergoes microbial laboratory validation and safety assessment before it reaches you. Chemist-led is not a marketing claim at Vase Creation. It is our operational reality, practised every day since 2018.


Is Vase Creation a "natural" brand?

We do not believe in the binary of natural versus chemical. We believe in formulation integrity — where high-purity botanicals and laboratory-grade actives work in synergy to support the skin's microbiome and natural resilience. We use botanical ingredients where nature performs best, and laboratory actives where science provides superior results. Safety, stability, and performance are prioritised above all else. Every ingredient, whether botanical or laboratory-derived, is selected for a specific reason and disclosed in full on every product.


What does "clean formulation" mean at Vase Creation?

Clean formulation at Vase Creation means complete ingredient transparency combined with a strict exclusion list. Every preparation is free from harsh sulfates (SLS and SLES), parabens, phthalates, synthetic fixatives, and undisclosed fragrance. The complete INCI ingredient list is printed on every bottle, on the outer packaging, and listed in full on every product page. There are no proprietary blends and no undisclosed ingredients. Clean formulation is a discipline, not a positioning statement.


Are Vase Creation products suitable for sensitive and eczema-prone skin?

Yes — and this is not a claim made lightly. Every preparation is specifically engineered for sensitive, reactive, and eczema-prone skin from the formulation stage. Our founding team has lived with sensitive skin since childhood, which directly informs every formulation decision. We prioritise microbiome-friendly ingredients and exclude harsh sulfates, parabens, phthalates, and synthetic fixatives. We recommend a patch test before first use of any new preparation, particularly for skin with a history of severe reactivity.


What are the key active ingredients used across the Vase Creation range?

Across our range, we formulate with a selection of high-performance actives chosen for their efficacy and tolerance on sensitive skin. Key actives include PENTAVITIN® (Saccharide Isomerate) — a clinically researched plant-derived ingredient that bonds to the skin's upper layer and supports natural moisture retention; Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) at clinical concentration — supporting the skin's natural barrier function; Lauryl Glucoside — a plant-derived gentle surfactant replacing harsh SLS in our shower preparations; IR3535® — a clinically tested insect-repellent active used in our DEET-free Tenang Spray; and high-purity essential oils including Lavender, Patchouli, Cedarwood, Spearmint, Rosemary, and Yuzu-adjacent citrus, each selected for specific functional and aromatic properties.


Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. Every Vase Creation preparation is vegan — we use no animal-derived ingredients. We are entirely cruelty-free: we do not test on animals at any stage of our formulation process, and we do not engage suppliers that do. This position has been held since the brand was founded in 2018 and has not changed.


Are Vase Creation products safe during pregnancy and for children?

Vase Creation is widely used by pregnant mothers and recommended for children above 3 years old. Our founder — a chemist and a mother — formulates with the most vulnerable users in mind. Key actives including Niacinamide and PENTAVITIN® are generally considered safe during pregnancy. Our MoisTeaRise Hand Wash uses fruit extracts and gentle plant-derived surfactants specifically suitable for children and pregnant users. We always recommend consulting your healthcare provider before introducing any new product during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, as individual circumstances vary.


How are Vase Creation products manufactured and quality-controlled?

All Vase Creation preparations are manufactured in our own GMP-certified (Good Manufacturing Practice) facility in Perak, Malaysia — the same manufacturing standard applied to pharmaceutical-grade production. Our facility passed Ministry of Health Malaysia (NPRA) GMP inspection in 2019. Every product is registered with the Ministry of Health Malaysia's NPRA cosmetic notification system. Technical documentation including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Product Certificates is available upon request for corporate partners and verified clients.


Do Vase Creation products contain alcohol?

This varies by product. Our functional sprays (including the Cap Care Spray) are alcohol-free by formulation design. Our aromatic mists contain Alcohol Denat as a carrier for essential oil dispersion — a standard and safe cosmetic use. Our shower oil and serum lotion do not contain alcohol. What is the Midnight Shikoku Shower Oil?

The Midnight Shikoku Shower Oil is Vase Creation's hero preparation and most recognised product — a sulfate-free, soap-free face and body cleanser formulated for sensitive, reactive, and eczema-prone skin. It is a lightweight cleanser that emulsifies into a soft, silky lather on contact with water, then rinses cleanly. Built around PENTAVITIN® Moisture Binding Technology and Lauryl Glucoside (plant-derived surfactant), and scented with a bright citrus and green tea aromatic profile. What is the MoisTeaRise Hand Wash?

MoisTeaRise Hand Wash is Vase Creation's osmanthus oolong tea-inspired hand wash — a sulfate-free, alcohol-free formulation designed for frequent daily use without stripping the skin. Formulated with fruit extracts and plant-derived surfactants, it is suitable for children above 3 years and pregnant users.


What is the Tenang Spray?

The DEET-Free Tenang Spray is Vase Creation's clinically formulated insect repellent — the first in our Modern Needs series. It uses IR3535® as the active repellent ingredient — a clinically tested alternative to DEET — combined with a soothing aromatic blend designed for daily tropical outdoor use. It is non-sticky, non-staining, and safe for sensitive skin.

Yes. vasecreation.com ships worldwide. Shipping rates and delivery times vary by destination and are calculated at checkout. How long does delivery take?

For Malaysian orders, standard delivery typically takes 2 to 5 business days. International delivery times vary by destination — typically 7 to 21 business days depending on the country and customs processing. For Australian orders placed via au.vasecreation.com, standard Australia Post delivery takes 3 to 5 business days from our Perth base.


How can I track my order?
